Lucknow: Several high-scoring CBSE Class XII students in Lucknow have credited artificial intelligence (AI) with helping them prepare more effectively for the board examinations. They noted that the technology supported revision, planning, and concept clarity, while classroom teaching remained central to their success.
The CBSE Class XII results were declared on Wednesday. Among the city's top performers were students who said AI became a useful academic aid in managing time, simplifying lengthy chapters, and resolving doubts during preparation.
AI as a Supporting Tool
Aditi Mishra of Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial School, who scored 99.2%, said AI played a supporting role in her studies by helping her make notes and summarise long chapters. She stressed that school teaching remained the foundation of her preparation.
"Classroom teaching is irreplaceable, but artificial intelligence can be used for assistance and revision. My school teachers taught me how to read and write comprehensively, while AI helped me make notes and summarise long chapters at times," she said.
Mishra scored a perfect 100 in biology and artificial intelligence and missed full marks in other subjects by narrow margins. Aspiring to become a doctor, she said her strong board result boosted her confidence despite disappointment over the cancellation of the NEET exam. She said she would appear for the re-examination with renewed determination.
Personalised Timetables and Concept Clarity
Another RLB School student, Aishwarya Pandey, secured 99% and said AI helped her create a personalised timetable for board preparation. By entering details such as school hours, study time, rest, and hobbies, she was able to generate a structured daily schedule.
"My school teachers explained every concept in detail, while AI helped me create a board exam timetable," she said. She added that the tool converted lengthy material into short, clear points and made revision easier and more efficient.
Lavanya Wadhwa of GD Goenka Public School, who scored 98%, said AI was especially useful whenever she had doubts or needed help understanding concepts. She said her use of social media remained minimal during the examination period, while AI use stayed moderate and focused on academics.
Wadhwa, who wants to become an entrepreneur, said she draws inspiration from her father Ravi Wadhwa, a businessman, and her mother Sonal Wadhwa, a homemaker. She is seeking admission to Singapore Management University.
AI Since Class XI
Another 98% scorer, Eram Fatima, said AI has been part of her preparation since Class XI. Aspiring to crack NEET and pursue medicine, she said the technology helped her gather information about doctors, institutes, and difficult Class XII concepts linked to the entrance syllabus.
