Xiaomi is set to launch the 17T in India on June 4, marking the return of its T series to the country after a hiatus since the 11T Pro in 2022. The global unveiling will take place in Vienna on May 28, with the Indian launch following a week later.
Only Standard 17T for India
Xiaomi has confirmed that India will receive only the standard 17T model. The 17T Pro will remain exclusive to global markets and will not be available in India.
Leica Camera Partnership Confirmed
Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the 17T will feature a Leica co-engineered rear camera system. While full details are still emerging, the teaser suggests a quad-camera layout, though leaked specifications point to a triple rear setup: a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide sensor. As part of Xiaomi's broader Leica co-engineered 17 lineup, the 17T is expected to inherit Leica-tuned software modes and color profiles.
Hardware Specifications
According to leaked specs, the Xiaomi 17T is expected to feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K+ flat LTPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it will be powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset. The device is rumored to pack a 6,500mAh battery with 67W HyperCharge support and offer IP68 dust and water resistance.
Teaser Campaign and Availability
Xiaomi has announced that it will continue to reveal more details about the 17T through May 26, ahead of the global debut. After the launch, the smartphone will be available in India via mi.com, Amazon.in, and offline retail stores.
