The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Services Selection Board (UPSESSB) has released the city intimation slip for the UP Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) examination on April 30, 2026. Candidates who registered for the exam can now view their assigned exam city on the official website upessc.up.gov.in by logging in with their registration credentials.
Exam Schedule and Details
As per the official schedule, the UP PGT written examination will be conducted on May 9 and 10, 2026. Two shifts will be held each day: the morning shift from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, and the afternoon shift from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. The subject-wise and shift-wise distribution has already been announced.
Approximately 4,64,605 candidates are expected to appear for the examination, aiming to fill 624 Lecturer vacancies under Advertisement No. 02/2022. To facilitate the smooth conduct of the exam, around 319 exam centers have been established across 17 districts of Uttar Pradesh. These districts include Lucknow, Prayagraj, Kanpur Nagar, Varanasi, Agra, Meerut, Gorakhpur, Bareilly, Aligarh, Jhansi, Moradabad, Saharanpur, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Basti, Banda, and Mirzapur.

The UP PGT Exam City Slip provides candidates with essential logistical information, such as:

It is important to note that the city slip is not the admit card. However, it plays a crucial role in helping candidates plan their travel and accommodation in advance, especially for those assigned centers outside their home districts.

- Enter your registration number and date of birth
- Submit the details
- The exam city slip will be displayed on the screen
- Download and print it for future reference

Important Note
The city slip only informs about the city where the examination will be held. The admit cards are expected to be released separately. The hall tickets will contain complete information about the examination center and other important details.
