The Cyber Command officials confirmed that the objectionable images and videos were shared on social media platforms with the intent to portray the actor in a derogatory manner.
Investigation Details
The cyber crime unit launched an investigation after receiving a complaint from Rukmini Vasanth. Officials traced the origin of the AI-generated content and identified the accused. The visuals were created using deepfake technology and widely circulated, causing distress to the actor.

The accused have been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act. Police have seized electronic devices used in the crime. Further investigations are ongoing to determine if more individuals are involved.
