Realme Watch S5 Launched with AMOLED Display and 20-Day Battery

Realme has expanded its smartwatch lineup with the launch of the all-new Realme Watch S5. The smartwatch features a premium design and comes with a host of advanced features. Featuring a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with 1500 nits peak brightness, the smartwatch ensures a vivid and immersive viewing experience across indoor and outdoor environments. Equipped with independent GPS and support for 5 global satellite navigation systems, the Watch S5 is built for fitness enthusiasts and active lifestyles. We used the smartwatch for some time and here are our first impressions.

Design

The Realme Watch S5 is designed to deliver a premium and intelligent smart wearable experience with advanced fitness tracking, seamless connectivity, and long-lasting battery life. Realme has opted for a circular dial for the Watch S5. The round case features a flat exterior, three buttons that protrude noticeably from the case, and a bezel printed with twelve markings, giving it an analog clock-inspired touch on a digital display that lends it a more traditional watch aesthetic. The smartwatch has a ceramic-textured back, which adds a premium feel at the price point. Weighing just 32 grams and measuring 11.8 mm in thickness, the watch should feel comfortable for everyday wear. It is also a practical build, offering 5ATM water resistance, making it suitable for workouts, rain, and casual swimming without worry.

Display

The Realme Watch S5 features a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a 466x466 pixel resolution. The screen offers up to 1500 nits of peak brightness level. It also supports always-on display and Smart Night Vision. The high brightness levels ensure excellent outdoor visibility. The circular AMOLED panel combined with the analog-inspired bezel creates a cohesive look that will be appreciated by many. The always-on display and Smart Night Vision modes add genuine everyday utility, particularly for users who check the time frequently without wanting to raise-to-wake every time.

Performance

Realme has loaded the Watch S5 with a compelling spec sheet for its price bracket. The headline feature is the battery: the Watch S5 promises a staggering 20-day battery life on a single charge, which, if it holds up in real-world use, is a genuine differentiator in a market where most rivals struggle to last a week. On the fitness side, the watch packs independent GPS with 5-system GNSS support, 110+ sports modes covering both indoor and outdoor activities, heart rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking, stress monitoring, sleep tracking, women's health, and AI-powered health monitoring. The inclusion of standalone GPS is particularly noteworthy at this price—it means runners and cyclists can leave their phones behind and still get reliable route data. The watch also includes an AI assistant, smart voice replies for supported apps, call relay, app integration, and customizable watch faces. Bluetooth calling via built-in speakers and microphones rounds out a feature set that feels well above its likely price tag. Wet-hand touch support is a small but thoughtful addition for workouts and rainy days. However, for the complete performance analysis, you will have to wait for our full review.

What We Think

The Realme Watch S5 arrives as a confident, well-specced mid-range smartwatch that ticks most of the right boxes. A full review will tell us whether real-world performance lives up to the specs.
