NCMC Card Camps for Delhi Govt Employees Start June 18: Details
NCMC Camps for Delhi Government Employees Begin June 18

The Delhi Government has initiated a special drive to issue National Common Mobility Cards (NCMC) to its employees through camps organized at 10 government office complexes across the capital from June 18 to June 25, as per a circular from the Finance Department.

What is the NCMC Card?

The National Common Mobility Card is a contactless smart card designed to enable seamless travel across public transport systems. The Delhi Government has been encouraging employees to adopt the card as part of its public transport policy and incentive framework, linking it to a higher transport incentive.

Camp Schedule and Locations

The camps are being implemented through the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) and are divided into three phases:

  • Phase 1 (June 18-19): Delhi Secretariat, Old Secretariat, Vikas Bhawan-II, Tis Hazari
  • Phase 2 (June 22-23): ITO-Vikas Bhawan, UTCS, GTB Hospital Complex
  • Phase 3 (June 24-25): RK Puram, MAMC Complex, District Magistrate (West) office

All camps will function from 10 am to 6 pm.

Required Documents

Employees are advised to bring the following documents for verification and on-the-spot card generation:

  • Aadhaar Card
  • Active mobile number
  • Employee ID card or employee code

How Will the Camps Function?

DTC has appointed depot managers and other officials as nodal officers for each location to oversee the process. The corporation has directed officials to ensure adequate infrastructure, including seating arrangements, power supply, internet connectivity, and technical support for uninterrupted card generation.

The Delhi Government has asked all departments, autonomous bodies, boards, and corporations to widely publicize the camps and encourage employees to participate.

Why is the Government Conducting This Drive?

The move aims to increase the adoption of public transport among government employees while simplifying access to the National Common Mobility Card. By bringing the enrollment process directly to government offices, authorities hope to maximize participation and make the transition to the NCMC system smoother.

This initiative comes amid a renewed push for sustainable mobility. Earlier this month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged citizens to increasingly opt for public transport and adopt environmentally responsible commuting practices to help reduce fuel consumption, congestion, and pollution.

With camps spread across key government hubs in Delhi, employees have multiple opportunities over the next week to obtain the card and avail themselves of the transport benefits linked to it.
