12 Students Achieve Perfect 100 Percentile in MHT-CET PCM Second Attempt
MHT-CET PCM Second Attempt: 12 Students Score Perfect 100 Percentile

Mumbai: A total of 12 students achieved a perfect 100 percentile in the second attempt of the MHT-CET examination for the Physics-Chemistry-Mathematics (PCM) group. Among these, 10 students are from Maharashtra, while one each hails from Madhya Pradesh and Haryana. Two of the toppers are from Mumbai.

Second Attempt Results for PCM and PCB Groups

The state's CET cell also announced the results for the second attempt of the Physics-Chemistry-Biology (PCB) group on Thursday. This attempt saw only four students achieving the perfect 100 percentile, owing to a lower number of participants. Notably, Jheel Chheda from Palghar secured the perfect score in both the first and second attempts of the PCB group.

Two Attempts Allowed for the First Time

For the first time this year, the government permitted students to take two attempts, providing an opportunity to improve their scores. The higher score will be considered for admissions to engineering, pharmacy, and agriculture courses.

Student Participation Numbers

Approximately 2.85 lakh students appeared for the PCM group in the second attempt, indicating that a significant number of the 4.54 lakh students from the first attempt did not retake the exam. In the PCB group, 95,631 students attempted the second exam, fewer than the first.

Toppers from Mumbai

In the PCM group, Mumbai toppers included Ipshita Nikale and Harshvardhan Patil. For the PCB group, Raushmeet Gupta from Mumbai was among the four state toppers. The percentage of female students taking the PCB group was higher compared to the PCM group.

No Combined Merit List Released

Similar to JEE (Main), the state's CET cell did not release a combined merit list. Considering both attempts, a total of 38 students achieved a perfect 100 percentile in the PCM group, while 14 students achieved the same in the PCB group. Once the centralized admission process (CAP) schedule is announced, students will register, and a merit list will be published based on applications.
