Ludhiana Govt Schools Face Digital Compliance Gap Over Attendance Uploads
Ludhiana Schools Fail Attendance Upload Deadline

A massive digital compliance gap has emerged in Ludhiana's government schools, as only 275 out of 1,529 institutions have been uploading daily attendance on the new Management Information System (MIS) 2.0 portal. According to data from April 27, over 1,200 schools either completely ignored the mandate or submitted incomplete records, despite strict government orders.

Attendance Data Discrepancies

The latest figures reveal that 576 schools failed to submit any attendance data, while 678 schools provided only partial information. This inconsistency was flagged during a state-wide inspection, leading the District Education Officer (DEO) to issue a fresh ultimatum to school heads.

DEO's Ultimatum and Monitoring Measures

To address the lag, the DEO has ordered all school incharges to ensure that both teacher and student attendance is uploaded to the portal by 10am daily. Block nodal officers and block primary officers have been tasked with monitoring the schools under their jurisdiction to enforce compliance.

MIS district coordinator Vishal Mittal confirmed that higher authorities are conducting regular inspections to enforce the move. He noted that the categorized data for April 27 highlights a widespread failure to meet the department's digital guidelines. The education department expects strict adherence to the new timeline to improve transparency and accountability in school operations.
