Patna: East Central Railway (ECR) General Manager Chhatrasal Singh on Friday evening inaugurated a newly constructed world-class auditorium, Srijan, at the senior secondary railway school premises in Khagaul on the outskirts of the city.
State-of-the-Art Facilities
The auditorium has a seating capacity of 200 and is equipped with modern amenities, including air conditioning, an LED video hall, and cushioned push-back chairs. It also features a spacious stage measuring 34 feet in width, making it suitable for a wide range of academic, cultural, and theatrical activities, according to ECR Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) Saraswati Chandra.
Boost to Educational and Cultural Activities
With the addition of the new facility, the 137-year-old senior secondary railway school is expected to emerge as a focal centre for hosting state- and national-level academic seminars, conferences, and cultural events. The auditorium will also play a key role in promoting theatre and other artistic activities in the town while enhancing opportunities for students, the CPRO said.
Other Developments
During his visit, the ECR GM also inaugurated a newly built storehouse and laid the foundation stone for the construction of five Type-V railway quarters in the Khagaul railway colony. The new residential units aim to improve housing facilities for railway officials and employees of the Danapur division, reflecting the railways’ continued focus on upgrading educational institutions and staff amenities in the region, he added.
