Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Minister for Information Technology and Human Resource Development, Nara Lokesh, unveiled the results of the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (APPGECET) for 2026 on Thursday. He shared the outcome through his official X account, extending congratulations to all successful candidates and acknowledging the diligent efforts of officials who conducted the examination.

Examination Conducted by Andhra University

The APPGECET-2026 was organized by Andhra University on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). The test was held from April 28 to 30 across six sessions at 26 centers throughout the state. This entrance examination serves as a gateway for admissions into postgraduate engineering, pharmacy, and technology courses in various colleges across Andhra Pradesh.

Key Statistics and Pass Percentage

According to official data, a total of 12,102 candidates registered for the entrance examination, out of which 9,990 students actually appeared for the test. Among those who appeared, 9,320 candidates successfully qualified, resulting in an impressive overall pass percentage of 93.29 percent. This high success rate reflects the rigorous preparation of students and the efficient administration of the exam.

Gender-wise Performance

Breaking down the results by gender, 4,464 male candidates appeared for the examination, and 4,144 of them qualified, achieving a pass percentage of 92.83 percent. Female candidates outperformed their male counterparts, with a pass percentage of 93.67 percent. Out of 5,526 female students who appeared, 5,176 qualified, showcasing their academic excellence.
