Arshan Khan Triumphs as Overall Champion at 5th Mr Rajasthan Bodybuilding Championship
In a spectacular display of strength and physique, Jodhpur's Arshan Khan emerged as the undisputed overall champion at the fifth edition of the Mr Rajasthan Body Building Championship, held in Bikaner on Sunday, April 5. The international star bodybuilder was awarded a substantial cash prize of Rs 71,000 for his remarkable performance, solidifying his status as a top athlete in the state.
Prize Distribution and Event Highlights
The championship, which attracted top bodybuilders from across Rajasthan, saw a total prize pool of Rs 3 lakh distributed among the winners. Jaipur's Praveen Kumar secured the runner-up position, earning Rs 51,000, while Bikaner's Sonu Yadav, recognized as the best poser, took home Rs 31,000. The event was organized by the Community Welfare Society in memory of the late Jetmal Bhati, with society patron Rajkumar Kiradu and president Kanhaiyalal Bhati presenting special prizes of Rs 5,000, Rs 3,000, and Rs 2,000 to all category winners.
Naveen Yadav, president of the Rajasthan State Body Building Association, highlighted the significance of the one-day competition, noting the presence of dignitaries such as BJP's Vijay Acharya and former district president Gopal. The championship served as a platform to promote fitness and bodybuilding culture in the region.
Category-Wise Winners Across Weight Divisions
The competition featured intense battles across various weight categories, with athletes showcasing their dedication and training. Here is a breakdown of the winners:
- 55-kg Category: Akash Khokha of Bikaner claimed the top spot, followed by Rakesh Gawaria of Churu in second and Tola Ram Mehla of Bikaner in third.
- 60-kg Category: Nihal Mehra from Jodhpur won the title, with Piyush Jain of Bikaner as runner-up and Pranay Deshwani of Jodhpur in third place.
- 65-kg Category: Murali Bhargava of Bikaner emerged victorious, while Aryan Sain of Kota secured the second position.
- 70-kg Category: Devendra Dhakad of Jaipur lifted the title, defeating Sher Khan of Alwar.
- 75-kg Category: Praveen Kumar of Jaipur triumphed, with Kamlesh Kumar of Sikar finishing as runner-up.
- 80-kg Category: Jitendra Singh of Bharatpur became champion, narrowly beating Aseem Joya of Bikaner to second place.
- 85-kg Category: Sonu Yadav of Bikaner claimed the title, with Ravindra Khinchhad of Bikaner as runner-up.
- Above 85-kg Category: Arshan Khan of Jodhpur dominated this section, with Sunil Samaria placing second.

Beyond the weight categories, the championship also featured special segments. Nihal Mehra of Jodhpur won the men's physique competition, demonstrating exceptional form and conditioning.
