The Indian Premier League (IPL) governing council has officially announced a trade deal between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), sending Rishabh Pant back to DC and Kuldeep Yadav to LSG.
Pant's Return to Delhi Capitals
Rishabh Pant returns to Delhi Capitals after spending nine seasons with the franchise. He captained the team in 43 matches out of 111 appearances for DC. Pant was initially acquired by LSG for a record fee of Rs 27 crore in the mega auction before being traded back to DC.
Kuldeep's Move to Lucknow Super Giants
Kuldeep Yadav transfers to LSG after taking 72 wickets in 65 matches for Delhi Capitals since 2022. He will join LSG at his existing fee of Rs 13.50 crore, according to the IPL governing council.
Impact on Both Teams
Pant's return strengthens DC's batting and leadership, while Kuldeep's addition bolsters LSG's spin attack. The trade reshapes both squads ahead of the upcoming IPL season.
