Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batsman Manish Pandey described his unbeaten 115 off 62 balls against Mumbai Indians (MI) as a special innings, after his team chased down a challenging target of 211 with 15 deliveries to spare in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match on Sunday.
Pandey's Heroics Power KKR to Victory
Pandey's knock, which included 10 fours and 7 sixes, was his first century in the IPL and helped KKR register a comprehensive seven-wicket win over MI at the Wankhede Stadium. Chasing 211, KKR lost early wickets but Pandey anchored the innings and stitched crucial partnerships to take his team home.
Speaking after the match, Pandey said, "This was a special one. I have been working hard on my game and it feels good to contribute to the team's victory. The wicket was good and I just backed my instincts."

Pandey was involved in a 96-run partnership with Andre Russell (45 off 23 balls) and an unbroken 87-run stand with Rinku Singh (22 not out off 10 balls). He emphasized the importance of staying calm and rotating the strike.
"I knew that if I stayed till the end, we could win. The bowlers had a tough day but the batsmen did the job. It was a complete team effort," Pandey added.
