Visakhapatnam: Vizag Runners Society, in association with GMR Airports, organized a unique "run to runway" airside 5K run/walk event on Sunday at the upcoming Bhogapuram International Airport, which is scheduled for its official inauguration in July 2026. The event offered participants a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to run on the airport runway airside and marked a memorable celebration of fitness, unity, and the spirit of Vizag.

During the event, the Vizag Runners Society officially unveiled the soft launch posters of the Sandhya Marines Vizag Marathon 5th edition at the airport terminal. The marathon is expected to attract runners from across the region.
