On Friday, the celebrated midfielder clarified that his absence from the core group of probables represents a voluntary decision to take a much-needed break, emphatically denying any connection to disciplinary action.

"After a fantastic HIL, where my team Ranchi Royals played the final, Coach spoke to me & informed of his decision to allow me this much-needed rest," Manpreet stated.
