Jaipur: Zinc Football Academy (ZFA) successfully defended their Poornima Rajasthan League Senior Men's A-Division title in emphatic fashion, defeating Jaipur City FC 4-1 in the ultimate title decider.
On a day where everything was on the line, ZFA delivered a performance worthy of champions, displaying high tempo, fearlessness, and complete control from the first whistle.
First Half Dominance
The breakthrough arrived early. In the 12th minute, winger Abith stepped up for a free-kick just outside the box. He unleashed a powerful left-footed strike that the goalkeeper got a hand to but could not keep out, making it 1-0.
The second goal was a perfect reflection of ZFA's identity. Built patiently from the back, the move worked beautifully down the left flank. Abith delivered a pinpoint cross, Karan showed great composure to lay it off, and Yash finished clinically. This true team goal made it 2-0.
ZFA were not done yet. Just before half-time, quick footwork inside the box won a penalty. Midfield maestro Biswajit stepped up and kept his composure. The goalkeeper guessed correctly and even got a touch, but the midfielder's placement proved decisive as the ball crept in for a 3-0 lead.
There was a slight setback just before the break, as Jaipur City FC capitalised on a defensive lapse to pull one back, making it 3-1 at half-time.
Second Half Sealer
Any hopes of a comeback were shut down instantly. Early in the second half, Abith produced a moment of magic. Picking up the ball from nearly 40 yards out, he unleashed a stunning strike into the top corner, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance. This goal of the season contender made it 4-1.
From there, ZFA showcased maturity beyond their years. They remained calm in possession, disciplined off the ball, and completely in control as they saw out the game professionally.
Full-time: 4-1. ZFA are the champions of Rajasthan.
Historic Achievement
With this victory, Zinc Football Academy became the first team to successfully defend the Rajasthan League title. It also marks ZFA's third league triumph, achieved with one of the youngest squads in the competition. A historic day for a champion team.
