The written examination for the Uttar Pradesh Police Constable (Civil Police) Direct Recruitment-2025 is set to begin on Monday, with nearly 28.87 lakh candidates competing for 32,679 vacancies across the state. The exam will be conducted over three days, from June 8 to June 10, in all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh.
Massive Recruitment Drive
According to the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB), a total of 28,86,797 candidates have applied for this recruitment drive. To accommodate the large number of aspirants, authorities have established 1,183 examination centres across the state.
Exam Schedule and Shifts
The test will be conducted in two shifts each day. The first shift will run from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, while the second shift will be held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Candidates will be given an additional five minutes beyond the stipulated duration to complete necessary formalities. Given the scale, more than 4.81 lakh candidates are expected to appear in each shift.
Security and Transparency Measures
Director General of the Recruitment Board, SB Shiradkar, stated that extensive preparations have been made by the police, district administration, and other agencies to ensure a smooth, secure, and transparent examination. Special arrangements have been implemented for candidate verification and entry management at all centres.
Authorities are emphasizing the integrity of the recruitment process. All centres will be monitored through CCTV surveillance, with static magistrates, observers, and adequate police personnel deployed to oversee proceedings. Additional security measures have been put in place at sensitive centres, and special arrangements have been made to maintain law and order near examination venues.
The recruitment drive aims to fill 32,679 vacancies in the civil police force, marking one of the largest such exercises in the state's history.
