Biharsharif: Two persons died in separate road accidents in Nalanda district, highlighting the perilous road conditions in the region. The incidents occurred within a span of 24 hours, leaving the local community in shock.
First Incident: Egg Trader Killed
An egg trader, identified as Ramesh Prasad (55) of Badara village under Noorsarai police station area, tragically lost his life after an unidentified vehicle struck him at Asha Nagar under Sohsarai police station area on Monday. Locals promptly informed the police, who rushed the injured trader to Model Hospital in Biharsharif. However, doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
Second Incident: Motorcyclist Dies
In another incident on Sunday evening, Raju Kumar (30), son of Ramsia Bind and a resident of Mohammadpur village under Ben police station area, succumbed to injuries after an unidentified vehicle hit his motorcycle near his village. He was on his way to Parwalpur market when the accident occurred. He was taken to Biharsharif Model Sadar Hospital, where he died during treatment.
Police have sent both bodies to the government hospital for postmortem examination. Investigations are underway to identify the vehicles involved in these hit-and-run cases. The families of the deceased have been informed and are grieving the sudden loss.
These accidents underscore the urgent need for improved road safety measures and stricter enforcement of traffic regulations in the district. Local authorities have urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious vehicles to the police.
