A tragic accident occurred in Greater Noida on Friday when a speeding SUV crashed into an electric pole in the Knowledge Park area, resulting in one fatality and one injury. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras, providing crucial evidence for the ongoing investigation.
Details of the Incident
The CCTV footage, accessed by the Times of India, shows the SUV traveling at high speed before losing control and violently colliding with the electric pole. The impact was so severe that the vehicle spun multiple times before finally coming to a halt. The driver, identified as Gurudev, a resident of Jattari and nephew of Aligarh BJP president Krishna Pal Singh, was seen stepping out of the damaged vehicle after the crash. The SUV's siren continued to blare for several seconds as bystanders and residents rushed to offer assistance.
Police Response and Casualties
Police were alerted immediately and arrived at the scene shortly after the accident. They extricated Shrishabh, who was seated in the co-passenger seat, and rushed him to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Gurudev is currently undergoing medical treatment for his injuries. Police have sent Shrishabh's body for autopsy and informed the families of both individuals.

A senior police officer stated that an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the accident, with CCTV footage being a key piece of evidence.
