Amrit Lal Lubana played a sensational knock of 79 runs off just 45 balls to guide the Royal Titans to the highest total of the fourth Chandigarh Premier League on Thursday. The Titans posted a commanding 215 for 5 in their 20 overs and later secured a dominant 36-run victory over the Rock Garden Warriors at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Sector 3, Panchkula.

Royal Titans Set Massive Target

Batting first, the Titans put up an imposing score of 215 for 5. Lubana remained not out on 79, smashing 11 boundaries and two sixes. Markanday Panchal contributed 37 runs, while Sanchit Sahu added 23 runs to the total. The Rock Garden Warriors bowlers struggled to contain the Titans' aggressive batting lineup.

Warriors' Chase Falls Short

In reply, the Warriors managed only 179 runs in their 20 overs. Aarush Bhandari scored a quick 39 off 22 balls, and Prashant Ahlawat added 32 runs. However, the middle order collapsed under pressure. Abhishek Singh emerged as the lone warrior with a brilliant 57 off 27 balls, but it was not enough to chase down the target. Ivraj Ranauta was the standout bowler for the Titans, taking three wickets for 22 runs.

HIIMS Hawks Register Second Consecutive Win

In another match on Wednesday evening, HIIMS Hawks registered their second consecutive victory by defeating Tricity Bashers by 17 runs. Nikhil Thakur played a stunning innings of 76 runs, leading the Hawks to a total of 202 for 5. Skipper Manan Vohra scored 59 runs, and Pratham Singh added 33 runs. In response, the Bashers fought hard, with Hardik Chowdhry scoring 76 runs, but they fell short, finishing at 185 for 8 in their 20 overs. Ishaan Garg was the pick of the bowlers for the Hawks, claiming three crucial wickets.
