Prime Enlighten XI secured a spot in the semifinals after a commanding 9-wicket win over Perf XI in a low-scoring floodlit match on Thursday. Invited to bat first, Perf XI struggled against the bowling attack, managing only 49 runs. Opener Vednash was the lone batsman to reach double figures, scoring 13 runs as the innings folded quickly. Shivansh Rai and Adhyan Sharma were the pick of the bowlers, each claiming three wickets.
In reply, Prime Enlighten XI chased down the target with ease, scoring 50 runs for the loss of just one wicket. Arijt contributed 14 runs, while Adrik remained unbeaten on 17. Mayank Tripathi took the only wicket for Perf XI, conceding 12 runs. Adhyan Sharma was named Player of the Match for his impressive bowling figures of 3 for 8.
Puneet Pal's Century Powers Olympic Club into Final
In another match, Puneet Pal's brilliant century guided Olympic Club to a 42-run victory over Rolland Club in the first Anil Rawat Memorial Cricket Tournament at Sapru Stadium on Friday. Olympic Club posted a total of 225 runs, thanks to Puneet Pal's 100, supported by Susanskrit Singh (32) and Shivansh Pandey (30). Aryan Diwakar and Atharva Gupta took five and four wickets respectively for Rolland Club.
Chasing 226, Rolland Club could only manage 183 runs, with Kuldeep Srivastava, Shubham Maurya, and Vijay Verma scoring 33, 33, and 30 runs respectively. Abhijeet Singh starred with the ball for Olympic Club, taking 5 for 40, while Raj Katiyar chipped in with 2 for 27. Puneet Pal was awarded the Player of the Match for his match-winning century.
