The event was organized as a key part of the Dravidian Pongal celebrations, blending cultural festivity with sporting spirit. The tournament witnessed enthusiastic involvement from the entire constituency. A remarkable total of 66 teams from the Thiruchuzhi constituency battled it out on the field. The matches were conducted recently at the ground situated near the Mangalam Hotel in Kariapatti.

The two finalists, Thiruchuzhi Rising Young Star and Dolphin Cricket Club, ended their allotted overs with identical scores of 60 runs each. This tie forced the match into a decisive Super Over to determine the champion.

In the high-pressure Super Over, the Thiruchuzhi Rising Young Star team held their nerve. Facing a target of 13 runs set by their opponents, the Rising Young Star batsmen showcased skill and composure. They successfully chased down the required runs in just 4 deliveries, thereby securing the championship title of the Thiruchuzhi Premier League.
