Mumbai Cricket Association Unveils T20 Mumbai League Season 4 and Inaugural Women's League
The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has made a significant announcement, marking the return of the T20 Mumbai League for its fourth season and introducing the inaugural T20 Mumbai Women's League. This dual launch, held on March 14, 2026, in Mumbai, is set to enhance the domestic cricketing landscape, particularly for women's cricket, which is gaining momentum across India.

At a glittering ceremony in Mumbai, the trophies for both tournaments were unveiled by Rohit Sharma, the face of the league. The event was attended by notable figures, including Mumbai star and India player Sayali Satghare, MCA President Ajinkya Naik, Cabinet Minister and former MCA President Ashish Shelar, and Rajdip Gupta, Chairman of the League Governing Council. Members of the Apex Council, League Governing Council, and team operators also graced the occasion, highlighting the importance of this initiative.

Speaking at the launch, Rohit Sharma expressed his delight at the development of Mumbai cricket. "I'm very happy with how Mumbai cricket is shaping up—not just in the IPL team, but also with what the T20 Mumbai League has done for many young cricketers," he said. Sharma emphasized the league's role as a crucial platform, noting that numerous players from the T20 Mumbai League have progressed to IPL teams and the national squad. He praised the MCA for their efforts, especially in introducing three women's teams this season, which expands the league's reach and impact.

"I still remember the day in 2018 when we were here and thought that we should have a league where we could give an opportunity to our young talent to showcase their abilities in a bigger way," he remarked. Shelar assured continued support from the Government of Maharashtra, emphasizing the importance of the women's league with three teams participating.
