Imad Wasim's Former Wife Makes Shocking Allegations on Social Media
Sannia Ashfaq, the former wife of Pakistani all-rounder Imad Wasim, has unleashed a series of grave accusations against the cricketer through her social media platforms. In detailed posts, she has labeled him a "murderer" and accused him of coercing her into undergoing an abortion in December 2023.
Allegations of Forced Abortion and Infidelity
Ashfaq claims that Wasim forced her to terminate a pregnancy in Lahore last year, an act she describes as murder. She asserts she possesses video evidence to substantiate her claims. Furthermore, she has accused the cricketer of cheating on her during their relationship.
"In December 2023, he got my child aborted in Lahore. He’s a murderer, and I have a video that proves it. He cheated on me," Ashfaq wrote in one post.
She has called for a boycott of Islamabad United, the Pakistan Super League franchise that recently signed Wasim, stating no platform should be given to someone with such allegations.
Emotional and Physical Trauma Detailed
Ashfaq detailed the profound physical and emotional suffering she endured, claiming she received no support from Wasim during the ordeal. She alleges she was systematically silenced whenever she attempted to speak out about her experiences.
"With a lot of courage, I am recording this video because I want not only the truth for my children but also justice," she stated in a video message.
She emphasized that her motive is not revenge but a pursuit of justice and respect. Ashfaq has formally requested an investigation into the matter by Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
Alleged Threats and WhatsApp Evidence
Adding to her allegations, Ashfaq shared purported WhatsApp screenshots suggesting Wasim threatened to file a harassment case against her when she contacted him during her pregnancy.
"He threatened me… while I was carrying his child," she wrote, describing his response as a threat instead of offering support.
