While Hafley did not specify a potential replacement, recent reports from Bolavip indicate that former NFL executive Joel Corry believes the Dolphins have already reached a definitive decision.
"The Miami Dolphins appear to have conclusively determined Tua Tagovailoa's status as the starting quarterback for 2026," Corry remarked, according to the report. "It is merely a question of when he will be released."

Tagovailoa is entering the third year of his four-year, $212.4 million contract, signed in July 2024. However, his 2025 statistics revealed a challenging narrative.
