The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary, Devajit Saikia, has expressed strong confidence in the Indian team selected for the upcoming T20 World Cup. Speaking to the media, Saikia emphasized that the squad has been meticulously prepared and is well-balanced to take on the challenges of the tournament.
Strong Preparation and Team Balance
Saikia stated, "We have prepared a strong team. The selection committee has done an excellent job in identifying the right mix of experienced players and young talent. The team has a good balance of batting depth, bowling variety, and all-round capabilities." He further added that the players have been in good form and the support staff has worked tirelessly to ensure optimal preparation.
Key Players and Strategy
The squad includes key players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Jasprit Bumrah, who bring a wealth of experience. Saikia highlighted that the team's strategy revolves around aggressive batting, disciplined bowling, and sharp fielding. "We have analyzed the conditions in the West Indies and USA, and our preparations have been tailored accordingly," he said.
The BCCI secretary also praised the leadership of captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid, stating that their guidance has been instrumental in building a cohesive unit. "The team is mentally and physically ready. We are confident of a strong performance," Saikia added.
