Two More Fires in Noida, Car Blaze Near Metro, No Injuries

Days after a fire gutted a flat in Noida's Sector 75, two more apartment fires and a car blaze were reported in the city on Saturday, with no injuries, officials said.

Fire at Exotica Dreamville Society

The first incident occurred around 11 am at Exotica Dreamville Society in Bisrakh, where a fire broke out in a flat on the 13th floor. Firefighters from Gaur City station arrived but found the blaze had already been extinguished. Preliminary investigations suggest the fire started in a temple inside the flat, possibly from a burning lamp.

Fire in Sector 31 Due to AC Short Circuit

Later, around 3:30 pm, a fire erupted in an air-conditioning unit on the second floor of a house in B-Block, Sector 31. Residents noticed flames and smoke, cut the power supply, and alerted the fire department. Two fire tenders were deployed and quickly brought the fire under control. Initial probes point to a short circuit in the AC unit.

Car Fire Near Sector 16 Metro Station

Around 4:30 pm, a Sonata car with a Ghaziabad registration caught fire near Sector 16 metro station while traveling on the road linking Sector 18 and Naya Bans. Chief Fire Officer Pradeep Kumar Chaubey said a short circuit may have caused the blaze. The car was completely damaged, but the driver managed to exit safely. No other passengers were reported, and no injuries were sustained.

Context of Recent Fires

These incidents follow a fire on Friday morning at Ivy County condominium in Sector 75, where a blaze on the 12th floor of a 28-storey tower sent thick smoke billowing across the complex, forcing the evacuation of over 200 residents. That fire came shortly after a deadly blaze at a bed-and-breakfast in Delhi's Malviya Nagar on June 3, which killed 21 people, intensifying calls for stricter enforcement of fire safety norms in residential and commercial buildings across the region.
