WWE RAW May 4: Breakker Attacks Rollins, Reigns Signs Contract

WWE presented the May 4 episode of Monday Night RAW from the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska. This was the go-home show for WWE Backlash, scheduled for this Saturday. The episode featured heightened tensions between Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker, the official signing of Sol Ruca to RAW, and her confrontation with Becky Lynch, who insulted her and took her down with a Sol Snatcher. Several other exciting matches also took place.

Opening Segment

Seth Rollins came out after having a moment with Roman Reigns backstage. However, as he reached the ring, Bron Breakker attacked him from behind. WWE officials intervened, but Breakker again entered the ring and took him down with a huge spear.

Finn Balor vs. JD McDonagh

All of Judgment Day was in JD McDonagh's corner as he battled Finn Balor in a singles match. With Liv Morgan distracting the referee, she tossed a hammer to Roxanne Perez, who hit Balor with it. McDonagh then hit a headbutt and fell on Balor to pin him for the win.

Penta and Je'Von Evans vs. Rusev and Ethan Page

This tag team match garnered some of the loudest cheers of the night, primarily for the high-flying moves of Penta and Je'Von Evans. However, it was not enough to stop Ethan Page and Rusev, as Page delivered a fisherman suplex to secure the win for his team.

Joe Hendry vs. Austin Theory

Joe Hendry performed on guitar before the match with Austin Theory. The match was fast-paced, but ended in a disqualification after Logan Paul attacked Hendry. Chaos ensued as The Street Profits, Bron Breakker, and Seth Rollins joined the fray, but Breakker stood tall, taking out everyone.

Oba Femi vs. Otis

Otis answered Oba Femi's open challenge. The match was short, as The Ruler finished him off with a Fall from Grace to pick up the win.

The Original El Grande Americano, Julio Americano, and Bruto Americano vs. Los Americanos

This six-man tag team match featured a lot of lucha libre action from both sides. In the end, The Original El Grande Americano hit a suplex and flying headbutt combination on Bravo to secure the win for his team.

Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu's Segment

The final segment saw Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu meet to sign the contract for their World Heavyweight Championship match at WWE Backlash. Reigns insulted Fatu repeatedly, leaving Fatu irate. Fatu launched a massive attack on Reigns, applying the Tongan Deathgrip and leaving him unconscious in the middle of the ring.
