On a vibrant Sunday morning, the streets of Vadodara came alive with pulsating energy as thousands of enthusiastic runners gathered for the 13th edition of the Vadodara International Marathon. The event, which has grown into a hallmark of the city's calendar, showcased a remarkable display of endurance, community spirit, and unwavering determination across various race categories.

The marathon featured a wide array of timed-run categories, catering to runners of all abilities and backgrounds. From the grueling full and half-marathon distances to the spirited Divyang Run and the lively participation from the LGBTQIA community, the event truly embodied inclusivity. Tejal Amin, the chairperson of the Vadodara Marathon, proudly announced that this year's edition attracted over 17,000 participants, marking a significant turnout that highlights the growing popularity of fitness events in the region.

District collector Anil Dhamelia, municipal commissioner Arun Mahesh Babu, and superintendent of police (rural) Sushil Agrawal joined the runners, emphasizing the event's importance to the local administration.
In a notable health initiative, city police commissioner Narsimha Komar administered a pledge to remain drug-free to the runners at Navlakhi Ground.
