Sector 26 College Dominates Panjab University Wushu Championship
Sri Guru Gobind Singh College (SSGS) in Sector 26, Chandigarh, has emerged as the undisputed champion at the Panjab University Inter College Wushu (Men) Championship. The college secured the overall trophy with an impressive total of 106 points, showcasing exceptional talent and skill in the martial arts competition.
Team Standings and Points Breakdown
The competition saw fierce rivalry among participating colleges. Goswami SD College from Sector 32 claimed the second position with 60 points, while Post Graduate Government College in Sector 11 finished third with 26 points. Panjab University Campus rounded out the top four with 18 points, highlighting the competitive spirit across institutions.
Individual Event Highlights and Medal Winners
In the Gunshu event, Subhash Tomar took the gold medal, with Shubhmani Panday securing the silver. The Changquan event further demonstrated Tomar's prowess as he clinched another gold, followed by Pandey and Suraj Singh who earned silver and bronze, respectively.
The Nanquan event featured standout performances from Krish and Rishav of the Sector 26 college, who won gold and silver medals. Neeraj from Sector 32 College, along with Milan, claimed the third position, adding to the diverse achievements across events.
