The trio, all students of Khalsa College for Women (KCW) representing Panjab University, secured silver medals in their respective disciplines at the Khelo India University Games (KIUG) 2025. The prestigious multi-sport event was held in Rajasthan from November 24 to December 5.

Hakikat Grewal: A Hammer Throw Prodigy

Hakikat Grewal earned her silver medal in the hammer throw event. Her journey in sports is deeply rooted in her family, as she has been coached by her parents since 2017. Her father is a former national decathlon player and her mother a national kabaddi player. This strong foundation has propelled her to numerous accolades.

Her impressive record includes gold medals at the Under-19 All India School National Athletics Meet in Bhopal, the U-20 Open Throw National Competition in Patiala, and the Open Throw Competition 2025 in Mumbai. She has also secured silver at the 39th Junior National Athletics Championship (U-20) in Bhubaneswar and the Junior Federation Athletics Championship 2025 in Prayagraj. Furthermore, Hakikat has bronze medals from the 21st Federation Cup of Athletics in Tiruvannamalai and the 37th Junior National Athletics Championship in Guwahati.

Muskan Rathi: Judo Excellence with 13 Years of Dedication

In the combat sport of judo, Muskan Rathi demonstrated her prowess by winning a silver medal in the +78 kg category. Her achievement is built upon a solid foundation of 13 years of rigorous training. This dedication has seen her compete at high levels, including the World University Games in Germany.

Her medal cabinet also features a gold from the Junior Nationals in 2019, a silver from the All India Inter University competitions, and a bronze medal from Khelo India 2024. Her consistent performance marks her as one of the top judokas in the university circuit.

Yadvi Bisht: From Hobbyist to National Medalist Cyclist

Yadvi Bisht claimed silver in the 4KM Team Pursuit cycling event, a testament to her speed and teamwork. Interestingly, Yadvi began cycling purely as a hobby before transforming it into a competitive pursuit. She now trains at the professional velodrome at Panjab Agricultural University.

Her rise has been swift and notable. She has won multiple gold and silver medals at the Punjab Open State Championship between 2022 and 2025. Yadvi participated in her first national event in Guwahati in 2022 and later won a bronze in the 4KM Team Pursuit at the All India Inter University games in Bhubaneswar.
