Not far behind, American golfer Jhared Hack also delivered a stellar performance with a 63, securing third place at 20-under 187. This season-opening event of the DP World PGTI has seen intense competition, with Veer Ahlawat (62) and Akshay Sharma (69) tied for fourth place at 18-under 189, adding to the high stakes.
Kabthiyal's Consistent Play
The 21-year-old Anshul Kabthiyal, who began the day tied for second, quickly gained momentum with a remarkable 45-foot birdie on the second hole. After a steady stretch until the 10th, he ignited his game with a series of birdies starting from the 11th hole. Kabthiyal finished strong, notching birdies on the 14th, 15th, 17th, and 18th holes. Baisoya's Experience Shines
Seven-time winner Honey Baisoya demonstrated his veteran prowess by making five birdies over his first 11 holes. Despite a minor setback with a bogey on the 12th, he bounced back spectacularly with a 15-foot eagle on the 13th and another birdie on the 15th. Baisoya, who recorded eight top-10 finishes on the tour last year, maintained his lead even after dropping a shot on the 16th, showcasing his resilience and strategic play.
