Jaipur Riders Win 7 Medals at Junior National Equestrian Championship

Young equestrian talent from Jaipur galloped to glory at a prestigious national event, bringing immense pride to Rajasthan. The Sagar Equestrian Sports Academy, based in the Pink City, delivered an outstanding performance at the Junior National Equestrian Championship 2025, securing an impressive haul of seven medals.

A Medal Haul for Jaipur

The academy's riders proved their mettle at the championship, which was held in the national capital. Their total medal count stood at seven, comprising 2 gold and 2 silver medals, alongside other podium finishes. The event took place at the renowned Army Polo and Riding Centre within Delhi Cantonment, spanning from December 26, 2025, to January 6, 2026.

Champions from the Pink City

A group of talented young athletes were responsible for this splendid achievement. The medal winners who brought laurels to the region include Diya Sharma, Divjot Kaur, Siddarth Datta, Arjun Mallaya, Krishnansh Ghelot, Hanisha Gupta, and Tanisha Gupta. Their success highlights the growing depth of equestrian skill nurtured in Jaipur.

The competition also saw other notable performances from Rajasthan. Yuvraj Singh from Malani Equestrian Sports Academy earned a bronze medal by securing third place in the preliminary show jumping event. Furthermore, Amitoj Singh of Horse Heaven Equestrian Sports Academy contributed to his team's success by winning a team silver medal in the young rider show jumping category.

A National Gathering of Talent

The 12-day championship was a major national event, attracting around 300 participants from across India. It was designed to cater to various age groups, ensuring a comprehensive platform for young equestrians. The categories included:

  • Children (10-12 years and 12-14 years)
  • Junior/Young Rider (15-18 years and 18-21 years)

Both jumping and dressage events were featured, testing the versatility and skill of the competitors.

The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Colonel Jagat Singh (Retd), President of the National Equestrian Federation, who served as the chief guest. Also present was Captain Bhagirath Singh, the founder of the Sagar Equestrian Sports Academy and a former RVC rider, who witnessed his academy's protégés achieve national recognition.
