From as early as 3 am, nearly one lakh runners gathered to participate across various categories, setting new benchmarks and reaffirming Jaipur's position among India's leading marathon destinations. The event was officially flagged off by Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, who was joined by a distinguished gathering of organisers and supporters. Notable figures included President of Sanskriti Yuva Sanstha Pt. Suresh Mishra, Chairman of World Trade Park Anoop Bartaria, COO of AU Small Finance Bank Yogesh Jain, and Race Director Ravi Goyanka, among others.

In his address, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma emphasised the broader significance of the marathon, stating, "AU Jaipur Marathon is not merely a sporting event; it is a strong step towards building a healthier Rajasthan. A special highlight of the event was the participation of fitness icon Milind Soman, who inspired participants by running the 21-km International Half Marathon himself. Adding glamour and encouragement to the festivities, Bollywood actress Ishita Raj cheered on the runners, creating an atmosphere of motivation and celebration.

Historic World Records Achieved

The marathon witnessed the creation of two remarkable world records, adding a unique and historic dimension to the event:

  • First World Record: Students from Vivekananda Global University performed a collective rendition of "Vande Mataram," marking the first such performance at any sports event in the country.
  • Second World Record: A scientific experiment titled "Mother – The Centre of Balance" was conducted, showcasing innovation alongside athleticism.
