India's women's 4x100m relay team secured the gold medal on the final day of the second edition of the Asian Relays Championships in Shaoxing, China, on Sunday. The quartet of Srabani Nanda, SS Sneha, Sudeshna Shivankar, and Tamanna clocked a season-best time of 43.85 seconds.
Mixed Relay Success
The Indian contingent also won silver in the mixed 4x400m relay and bronze in the mixed 4x100m relay. The mixed 4x400m team, comprising Theerthesh Shetty, Poovamma MR, Bharath Sridhar, and Neeru Pathak, finished with a time of 3:17.06 seconds to secure the silver medal.
Earlier, the Indian mixed 4x100m relay team won bronze with a time of 41.27 seconds. The team included Pranav Gaurav, Tamanna, Animesh Kujur, and SS Sneha. Thailand claimed gold in 41.14 seconds, while China took silver in 41.29 seconds.
Other Relay Results
In the men's 4x400m relay, India finished fifth with a time of 3:05.33 seconds. The team consisted of Theerthesh Shetty, Avinash Krishna Kumar, Suraj A Raja, and Barath Sridhar. Vietnam won gold in 3:02.60 seconds, followed by China (3:03.23) and Sri Lanka (3:03.33).
The women's 4x400m relay team placed fourth with a time of 3:34.88 seconds. The team members were Saloni Nagar, Poovamma MR, Ansa Babu, and Rashdeep Kaur. Vietnam took gold in 3:31.16 seconds, China silver in 3:32.68, and Kazakhstan bronze in 3:33.87.
