The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship has officially renewed its partnership with the prestigious French champagne house, Taittinger. The luxury brand will continue to serve as the series' official champagne for the upcoming 2025/26 racing season.
A Toast to Victory on the Podium
The core of this partnership remains the iconic podium celebration. Race winners across the globe will spray and toast with Taittinger champagne, continuing a tradition synonymous with motorsport triumph. This ritual is deeply embedded in Formula E's history, with past champions like Season 10 winner Pascal Wehrlein and the reigning Season 11 champion, Oliver Rowland, having celebrated their title victories with Taittinger showers.
Beyond the winner's rostrum, Taittinger will be integrated into the premium Emotion Club hospitality experiences at race venues. This provides drivers, teams, and special guests with an exclusive setting to enjoy the champagne. Furthermore, Taittinger will be featured at all special events held throughout the extensive 17-race calendar.
Celebrating Heritage and Innovation
Jeff Dodds, the Chief Executive Officer of Formula E, expressed his enthusiasm for the continued alliance. He highlighted that the moment of a driver celebrating with champagne on the podium is an iconic symbol of success, and the series looks forward to creating more such unforgettable memories with Taittinger.
Vitalie Taittinger, President of the champagne house, drew a parallel between the essence of champagne and the spirit of Formula E. She remarked that champagne, similar to electricity, acts as a conduit for emotion, connecting people in moments of shared joy. She stated that the partnership perfectly embodies the exhilaration of victory and the innovative spirit cherished by both brands.
Formula E's Record-Breaking Season Ahead
This announcement comes as Formula E action resumes after the New Year break. The championship is currently in Mexico City for the Round 2 E-Prix at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. The event began with free practice on Friday, January 9, and will conclude with the final race on January 10.
The 2025/26 season is set to be the biggest in Formula E history, featuring a record-breaking 17 races that will take place across 11 international cities. This expanded calendar underscores the championship's growing global footprint and appeal.
The renewed deal with Taittinger, a house founded in 1932 and representing 300 years of French excellence, aligns Formula E's cutting-edge, sustainable electric racing with a symbol of luxury and celebration, enhancing the experience for winners and fans alike.
