Antonio Felix da Costa Rings in 2026 in Portugal with Wife & F1E Friends
Da Costa's Stylish New Year 2026 Celebration in Portugal

Formula E star Antonio Felix da Costa welcomed the year 2026 with elegance and close companions on the scenic coast of Portugal. The Jaguar TCS Racing driver, alongside his wife Ines Castro, marked the festivities with a blend of romantic moments and camaraderie with his motorsport peers.

A Coastal Celebration with Family and Friends

Dressed sharply in a suit, Da Costa was the picture of style, while his wife Ines Castro complemented him in a lovely black dress and a warm fur coat. The couple enjoyed the seaside New Year's Eve celebrations, taking in the spectacular fireworks display. A unique highlight of their evening was sighting an old-fashioned ship sailing along the Portuguese coast, a moment Da Costa captured and shared with his followers.

The gathering was not just a family affair. His former Formula E teammate, Jean-Eric Vergne, was also part of the celebrations. Vergne, who recently moved from DS Penske to the new Citroen Racing team, appeared in pictures and videos Da Costa posted on his Instagram account, showing the strong bonds within the Formula E community.

Golf and Glimpses of Madeira

A day after the main festivities, the Portuguese driver shared another slice of his holiday life. He posted a glimpse of himself playing golf against the backdrop of a stunning setting sun, identifying the location as the beautiful island of Madeira in Portugal.

Reflecting on the 2025 Formula E Season

Just before the New Year's bash, Da Costa had taken to social media to share the second part of his 2025 recap. The post, captioned "2025 Recap Part 2. Happy New Year everyone! I'm going to work hard to make it the best ever!" along with a biceps emoji, was a nostalgic look at his year on and off the track.

The photo collection featured key moments from his final days with the Porsche Formula E team and his transition to his new home at Jaguar TCS Racing. It also included pictures with friends from the paddock, notably Nissan driver Norman Nato and his new Jaguar teammate, Mitch Evans. The inclusion came after both drivers had humorously complained about being left out of the first part of his recap.

Looking Ahead to Formula E Season 12

The 2025 season concluded with Antonio Felix da Costa finishing fifth in the Drivers’ World Championship. His high-profile switch from Porsche to Jaguar for the ongoing Season 12 had a challenging start. His debut race for Jaguar at the Sao Paulo E-Prix in December was hampered by a collision with Cupra Kiro rookie Josep Pepe Marti, resulting in an 11th-place finish in Round 1.

Da Costa will be eager to turn the page and show Jaguar's potential as the championship moves to its next stop. He is set to return to the track for Round 2 in Mexico City, scheduled for January 9-10. The racing community will be watching closely to see how he bounces back from the opening round setback.
