CKSC Sailors Excel at National Sailing Championship

The Coastal Karnataka Sailing Club (CKSC) has announced the successful participation of two of its young athletes in the YAI Youth National Sailing Championship 2026. The event was held at Marve Beach, Mumbai, recently.

Championship Details

Organised by the Corps of Engineers Sailing Club of the Indian Army under the aegis of the Yachting Association of India (YAI), the regatta saw over 170 participants from 19 elite clubs across the nation. Representing CKSC were Kevin Saha from Brigade School, Bengaluru, and Bhuvisutha La Indian from Puskarani School, Mysuru. These young sailors competed in an Olympic-level sport, showcasing immense grit and technical skill, stated a release.

Club's Growth and Challenges

Despite being established in Mangaluru in 2024, the club currently lacks a permanent facility from the government. While students from Bengaluru and Mysuru travel to Mangaluru every weekend to train, local youth from the Mangaluru region have yet to take full advantage of these world-class opportunities available at their doorstep.
