In a remarkable display of athletic prowess, rowers from Chandigarh delivered an outstanding performance at the 43rd Senior National Rowing Championship, held at the Army Rowing Node in Pune. The team clinched a gold medal in the Double Scull event and added a bronze in the Coxless Four, marking a significant achievement for the region in this prestigious national competition.

The Chandigarh duo of Yuvraj Singh Parmar and Jaspal Singh dominated the Civil Men's Double Scull (2X) final, which was designated as Race No. 120. Competing in Lane 3 over the challenging 2,000-meter course, they clocked an impressive time of 6:51.7 to secure the gold medal. Their victory was hard-fought, as they outperformed strong competitors from West Bengal, Odisha, and the host state Maharashtra, demonstrating exceptional teamwork and endurance.

Adding to Chandigarh's medal tally, the Civil Men's Coxless Four team achieved a bronze medal in Final Race No. 127. The crew, consisting of Gulshan Kumar, Tinku, Sahil Moudgil, and Sukhdeep Singh, posted a timing of 6:38.1.
