Notification Timeline and Key Dates

According to the official notification released by the BSF under the Ministry of Home Affairs, this recruitment marks the 3rd phase of the process. The notification was issued on December 19, 2025. The crucial window for online applications will commence on December 27, 2025. Aspiring candidates must ensure they submit their forms before the deadline on January 15, 2026. The dates for sports trials will be communicated by the authorities at a later stage.

Eligibility Criteria and Vacancy Details

This recruitment is specifically for the post of Constable GD under the Sports Quota. The 549 vacancies are open for both male and female candidates who have represented their sport at a recognized level. To be eligible, an applicant must have passed the Class 10 examination from a recognized board. Crucially, candidates must be certified sportspersons as per the Sports Quota rules.

The age limit for applicants is set between 18 to 23 years, calculated as of August 1, 2025. The government's standard rules for age relaxation will be applicable for candidates from reserved categories. It is important to note that these are Group C, non-gazetted, and non-ministerial posts. However, applicants from the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and all female candidates are exempted from paying any fee. All payments must be made through online modes only.
