Anupama Ramachandran Secures National Billiards Victory in Haryana

Anupama Ramachandran delivered a strong comeback performance at the HL City Star Academy in Bahadurgarh, Haryana. She defeated Amee Kamani in the women's National billiards final on Monday. This win came just one day after she lost the snooker title to the same opponent.

Composed Performance Leads to Decisive Win

The Tamil Nadu cueist showed remarkable composure and control during the match. She registered a convincing 197-112 victory over Kamani. The contest lasted about an hour and featured few large breaks. Anupama made excellent use of her opportunities and prevented Kamani from building any real momentum.

Her steady scoring and tight table control proved decisive. These efforts successfully halted Kamani's attempt to secure a double crown at the event.

Focus and Determination on Display

Despite having an evening flight back to Chennai, the 23-year-old player maintained her focus throughout the final. She dictated the pace of the game from start to finish. This victory marks her second National billiards title.

"A National title is always special and it feels great to have won it," Anupama said after her triumph.

Path to the Final and Bronze Medal Match

Earlier in the day, Anupama reached the final by defeating Karnataka's R Umadevi with a score of 134-101 in the semifinals. Kamani advanced to the final after edging out Tamil Nadu's L Shruthi 160-146 in the other semifinal.

Shruthi went on to secure the bronze medal. She defeated Umadevi 152-140 in the third-place match.

Looking Ahead to International Competition

Both finalists will now turn their attention to upcoming international events. Anupama, Kamani, and Vidya Pillai are set to participate in the Heyball World Cup. This competition begins on Friday in Brisbane, Australia.

Final Result: Anupama Ramachandran (TN) beat Amee Kamani (MP) 197-112.
