Woman dies after Bolero overturns in Barmer

A tragic road accident in Barmer district claimed the life of a 24-year-old married woman on Tuesday. The incident occurred in Kerawa village under the Barmer Rural police station limits when a Bolero vehicle lost control and overturned, fatally injuring the woman.

Victim identified as Nirma

Police have identified the deceased as Nirma, a resident of Hardanpura in Chauhtan. According to officials, she was returning home after collecting medicine for her father from a local medical shop when the Bolero struck her. The vehicle reportedly lost control and overturned, causing critical injuries to the woman.

Rushed to hospital but succumbed

Immediately after the accident, locals rushed Nirma to Barmer Hospital. However, she died while undergoing treatment. Police received information about the incident and reached the spot to seize the Bolero. The body was placed in the hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination.

Family lodges complaint

On Wednesday, after the arrival of Nirma's in-laws, her father filed a formal report with the police. Following the post-mortem, the body was handed over to the family for last rites. Nirma had been married to Doongraram for four years and leaves behind a two-month-old daughter.

Investigation underway

Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the accident. Authorities are examining the circumstances that led to the Bolero losing control and overturning, causing the fatal incident.
