A young widow in Rajasthan's Alwar district has died after allegedly poisoning herself and her three minor daughters, a month after the death of her husband. The police identified the deceased as 27-year-old Madhubai. The incident unfolded late on Sunday night. A relative became alarmed upon hearing sounds of distress from the family's room. Upon entering, he discovered Madhubai and her three daughters—aged two, four, and seven years—all foaming at the mouth. Suspecting poisoning, he immediately rushed them to a local hospital.
Madhubai was later referred to a hospital in Jaipur for further treatment, where she succumbed on Monday. In a tragic turn of events, her three young daughters are now reported to be out of danger and are receiving care at a government hospital in Bharatpur. The children have been orphaned following this devastating sequence of events.
Financial Despair Following Husband's Death

Akhilesh Sharma, the Additional Superintendent of Police in Deeg, stated that Madhubai had been struggling to make ends meet since her husband's demise. "We hope to gather all relevant details to understand what led her to this act," Sharma added, confirming that the probe is ongoing to piece together the final circumstances.
