Actor Vijay's TVK Party Meeting in Thanjavur Approved with 52 Police Conditions
Trichy: Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president and prominent actor Vijay is set to convene a significant gathering with party functionaries from the eight assembly constituencies in Thanjavur district. The meeting is scheduled to take place at Ayyasamipatti on Wednesday, following meticulous preparations and regulatory approvals.
Police Grant Permission with Stringent Conditions
The Thanjavur district police have authorized the event, but with a comprehensive list of 52 conditions that must be strictly adhered to. This approval underscores the heightened security and logistical measures required for such a high-profile political assembly.
Event Details and Expected Participation
The meeting will be held in an expansive open area covering ten acres at Ayyasamipatti, near Sengipatti, from 10 am to 3 pm. Approximately 4,900 functionaries from across the district are anticipated to participate, making it a crucial organizational event for the TVK party.
Preparation and Inspection Process
On February 28, TVK functionaries formally submitted a request to hold the meeting to District Superintendent of Police R Rajaram. In response, Thiruvaiyaru Deputy Superintendent of Police J Arulmozhi Arasu conducted a thorough site inspection on Monday. During this visit, he meticulously evaluated basic amenities, vehicle parking arrangements, and other critical logistical aspects.
After receiving satisfactory responses and necessary assurances from the party regarding compliance with all stipulated conditions, Arulmozhi granted official permission for the meeting on Tuesday.
Ground-Breaking Ceremony and Preparations
In anticipation of the event, TVK functionaries performed a ground-breaking ceremony, or bhoomi puja, at the designated site to mark the commencement of preparations. General Secretary N Anand also personally inspected the ongoing preparation work to ensure everything is in order for the upcoming gathering.
This meeting represents a pivotal moment for the TVK as it strengthens its grassroots connections and organizational framework in the Thanjavur region, amidst a backdrop of careful regulatory oversight.
