UT Khader urges Congress workers to work patiently, build party at booth level
UT Khader urges Congress workers to work patiently

Mangaluru: Health and family welfare minister UT Khader assured loyal Congress workers that they will get opportunities if they work honestly and unitedly with patience and restraint. He addressed party workers during his first visit to the district Congress office in Mallikatte on Friday, after assuming charge as minister in DK Shivakumar's cabinet.

Step-by-step growth

Khader emphasized that rewards do not come suddenly. "One has to climb up step by step. I too have climbed up the stairs in the same manner. It was possible to reach this stage because of the love of the people of my constituency and the support of the leaders. I did not use any influence or recommendations. The party gave me the opportunity based on my work," he said.

Focus on booth-level organization

He advised party workers to strengthen the party at the booth level and grow as leaders. "Organisation at the booth level is more necessary than at the district or block levels. Criticism and insults are natural. We should not waste time criticising others but focus on building the party instead. If a leader's personality is damaged, it damages the party. We should not allow that to happen," Khader added.

Face SIR with courage

Addressing concerns about the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), Khader said, "There is no need to panic about the SIR. Face it with courage. Be alert at the booth level."

Honor for Dakshina Kannada

On MLC BK Hariprasad taking charge as the KPCC president on June 21, Khader said it is an honor given to Dakshina Kannada. "People from the district should participate in large numbers in this programme," he said.

District Congress committee president Harish Kumar presided over the meeting. MLC Ivan D'Souza was present.
