UP Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak Launches Scathing Attack on Samajwadi Party Over Noida Rally
In a sharp political critique, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak on Sunday targeted the Samajwadi Party, asserting that a recent rally addressed by party chief Akhilesh Yadav in Noida failed to attract significant crowds, which he claimed reflects the party's diminishing ground support among the electorate.
Empty Chairs Expose Reality of SP's Public Connect, Says Pathak
Pathak pointed to the visible empty chairs at the rally venue as evidence that exposes the reality of the Samajwadi Party's connection with the public. The poor turnout clearly indicates that SP has lost touch with the people, who are no longer willing to support caste-based and opportunistic politics, he stated emphatically.
Allegations of Past Mismanagement in Noida Under SP Rule
The Deputy Chief Minister leveled serious allegations against the previous Samajwadi Party government, accusing it of turning Noida into a hub of what he described as mini chief ministers and a pervasive network of contracts, patronage, and extortion. The same people of Noida have now completely rejected that model, Pathak declared, highlighting a shift in public sentiment.
He further claimed that during the SP's tenure, Noida and Dadri were characterized by lawlessness and insecurity, where traders, women, and youth felt unsafe. In contrast, Pathak asserted that today, the region has emerged as a major hub for investment, infrastructure development, and employment generation.
Pathak Credits BJP Leadership for Regional Transformation
Highlighting the developmental initiatives undertaken, Brajesh Pathak credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for transforming the Noida-Dadri region. He specifically pointed to the upcoming international airport at Jewar as a significant milestone that is poised to boost global connectivity and attract substantial investment into the state.
Uttar Pradesh has moved beyond its earlier BIMARU tag and is progressing rapidly in terms of economic growth and per capita income, Pathak added. The state is emerging as a leading economy in the country, he emphasized, underscoring the economic advancements under the current administration.
Contrasting Political Approaches: Divisive Politics vs. Development Focus
Pathak accused the Samajwadi Party of continuing to rely on divisive politics, while firmly asserting that the current BJP-led government is steadfastly focused on development, good governance, and inclusive growth. He also made a personal dig at Akhilesh Yadav, suggesting that the SP leader previously avoided visiting Noida due to superstition but is now frequenting the region in a relentless pursuit of political power.
The Deputy Chief Minister's comments come amid ongoing political preparations and highlight the intensifying rhetoric between the two major parties in Uttar Pradesh as they position themselves for future electoral contests.
