Two Juveniles Held for Pelting Stones at Train with Mohan Bhagwat Onboard, Search On for Third Teen
Police have arrested two juveniles for pelting stones at a train carrying RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat in Uttar Pradesh. The incident occurred while the train was passing through a stretch near a garbage dumping area. Authorities are now searching for a third teenager believed to be involved in the act.
According to police, the three juveniles, reportedly ragpickers, were collecting garbage near the railway tracks when they threw stones at the passing train. The train had Mohan Bhagwat onboard, who was traveling to a scheduled event. No injuries were reported in the incident.
Police examined more than 50 CCTV camera recordings to trace the culprits. The footage revealed three teenagers throwing stones at the train. Based on the evidence, two of them were apprehended, while efforts are underway to locate the third suspect.
Senior police officials confirmed that the arrested juveniles have been sent to a juvenile home. They are being questioned to ascertain if there was any motive behind the act or if it was a case of mischief. The security around the train has been reviewed, and additional measures have been taken to prevent such incidents in the future.
The incident has raised concerns about the safety of high-profile individuals traveling by train. Authorities have urged the public to report any suspicious activity near railway tracks.
