Telangana CM Pledges Massive Job Creation Drive

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy made a strong commitment on Friday. He said the Congress government will fill all vacant government posts. The administration also plans to create large-scale employment opportunities for youth. This will happen through both public recruitment and private investment-led growth.

Appointment Letters Distributed to 1,370 Candidates

Revanth Reddy addressed a program at Shilpakala Vedika in Hyderabad. He distributed appointment letters to 1,370 group III candidates during the event. The Chief Minister revealed that the state government has already provided nearly 70,000 government jobs. He promised to take up recruitment for remaining vacancies in a phased manner.

The CM urged young people not to fall prey to opposition parties. He warned against being used as political tools by vested interests. Revanth launched a sharp attack on the opposition BRS party during his speech.

Criticism of Previous BRS Government

Revanth Reddy alleged that unemployed youth faced neglect during the BRS's nearly ten-year rule. He claimed the previous regime prioritized family and party interests over governance. According to the Chief Minister, they failed to fill government vacancies properly.

This failure forced youth to agitate for jobs. Revanth said this discontent ultimately led to the Congress being voted to power in the state.

Restructuring of TGPSC

After assuming office in December 2023, the Congress government restructured the Telangana Public Service Commission. They appointed members with proven integrity and strong track records. Despite legal challenges to recruitment notifications, the government conducted group I, group II and group III exams transparently.

Revanth pointed out some staggering numbers. More than five lakh aspirants applied for just 563 group I posts. Similarly, over five lakh applicants sought 731 group II positions. These figures underscore the massive scale of unemployment in the state.

The Chief Minister accused the previous government of failing to conduct examinations properly. He cited exam paper leaks that jeopardized the futures of thousands of aspirants. According to Revanth, the Congress government revived the TGPSC after studying the functioning of the UPSC.

Future Recruitment Plans

The CM said he is aware of discussions among job aspirants at Osmania University and Ashok Nagar. He assured everyone that new recruitment notifications would be issued soon. Revanth congratulated parents of the selected candidates during the event.

He acknowledged the hardships parents endured to educate their children. The Chief Minister noted that a government job represents an emotional aspiration in Telangana. He urged new recruits to play a key role in rebuilding the state.

Revanth claimed the state had been weakened under the previous regime. He stressed that government employees must serve the poor with empathy and respect. They should treat citizens like their own parents, according to the CM.

Warning About Parental Care

The Chief Minister issued a surprising warning to government employees. He said those who neglect their parents might face salary deductions. The government would consider deducting 10-15% of salaries in such cases. This money would be deposited directly into parents' bank accounts.

Concerns About Education Quality

Revanth Reddy expressed concern over declining public confidence in government schools. While education remains accessible, quality appears uneven across institutions. He provided some revealing statistics about Telangana's education system.

The state has 26,000 government schools with over 16 lakh students. Meanwhile, 33 lakh students attend 11,000 private schools. The Chief Minister emphasized that restoring quality education in government schools is crucial.

Skill-based learning would help students compete globally. This approach could also rebuild public trust in the education system. The government appears focused on comprehensive development beyond just job creation.
