The Tamil Nadu government implemented a significant administrative reshuffle on Wednesday. It issued transfer and posting orders for multiple Indian Administrative Service officers. These changes impact several key departments across the state.

Major Appointments in Tourism and Technical Education

J Innocent Divya, who previously served as the Commissioner of Technical Education, received a new assignment. She is now appointed as the Commissioner of Tourism. Additionally, she will take on the role of Managing Director for the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation.

Leadership Changes at Tasmac and Technical Education

T Christuraj faced a transfer from his position as Managing Director of TTDC. The government appointed him as the Managing Director of Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation, commonly known as Tasmac.

S Visakan, the outgoing MD of Tasmac, moved to a different sector. He was appointed as the Director of Technical Education, filling the vacancy created by Divya's transfer.

Additional Secretary Postings Revised

The reshuffle also affected officers in secretary-level roles. S Uma received a transfer from her post as Additional Secretary in the Special Programme Implementation Department. Her new assignment is as Additional Secretary in the Health and Family Welfare Department.

Another officer, D Rathna, saw a change in her responsibilities. She was moved from her role as Additional Secretary in the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department. Rathna is now appointed as Additional Secretary in the Housing and Urban Development Department.

These transfer orders signal a strategic reallocation of senior bureaucratic talent within the Tamil Nadu administration. The moves aim to bring fresh perspectives to crucial departments overseeing tourism, education, public health, and urban development.
