SAD President Sukhbir Badal Levels Serious Accusations Against Punjab CM
Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal has made strong allegations against Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Speaking at an extended conference in Moga on Thursday, Badal claimed Mann committed a heinous act of sacrilege against the Guru Sahiban. He urged holy men in Sikh society to take immediate notice of this issue.
Badal Points Finger at AAP Government
Sukhbir Badal directly connected recent sacrilege incidents to the Aam Aadmi Party's political presence in Punjab. He stated these troubling events began in 2015, just one year after AAP entered the state's political landscape. According to Badal, these incidents were deliberately engineered to create divisions within the Sikh community and damage the reputation of the Shiromani Akali Dal.
The SAD president expressed his frustration with certain individuals who previously criticized his party on this sensitive matter. He specifically named Baljit Singh Daduwal and Dhian Singh Mand, questioning their current silence on the issue. Badal emphasized he remains undeterred by what he called false cases being prepared against him by the AAP government.
Political Promises for Punjab's Future
Looking ahead to the 2027 elections, Sukhbir Badal outlined several key policy initiatives his party would implement if returned to power:
- Providing free tubewell connections to all farmers who have been left out of existing schemes
- Stopping the unlawful flow of Punjab's waters into the Rajasthan canal and redirecting this water to Punjab's agricultural fields
- Offering interest-free loans of Rs 10 lakh to eligible youth
- Reserving government jobs exclusively for Punjabis, unlike current practices
- Requiring industries receiving government subsidies to employ at least 75% Punjabis
- Establishing a commission to investigate all fake cases registered by the AAP government
- Building medical colleges in every district of Punjab
Badal asserted that the AAP government had failed to deliver on its promise of district medical colleges. He promised his party would make this a reality. The SAD president also vowed to take legal action against those responsible for filing false cases against innocent citizens.
Sukhbir Badal concluded by reaffirming his commitment to fighting what he described as anti-people and anti-Punjabi policies. He invoked the teachings of the Guru Sahiban, stating they inspire him to speak fearlessly against governmental tyranny.
